In 2012, social media took control of how we experienced the summer Olympic Games. In 2014, Russia intends to do the same thing but with their own social media channel: Vkontakte. The International Olympic Committee (IOC) is relying on Vkontakte to help promote the games in Russia, bringing a new social news experience to fans.
