Search Engine Marketing (SEM/SEO) Associate

We have an immediate opening for an entry-level SEO/SEM Associate. This is a great opportunity for a talented individual that wants to learn SEO & SEM in a small, yet growing search marketing firm.
We have a successful track record of achieving top rankings in the major search engines (Google/Yahoo/MSN) for keyword phrases that target traffic and increase our client’s overall web business. You will play an important role in building upon this success.
Responsibilities will include:
- Attend training to develop relevant knowledge and skills.
- Maintain knowledge of current SEO practices
- Conduct keyword research
- Perform competitive analysis to help improve SEO results
- Analyze link popularity & keyword rankings
- Search for and approach relevant websites in order to build link popularity. Written and verbal skills are crucial for this task.
- Cataloging link acquisition for our sites.
- Submissions to search engines and directories.
- Manage rankings and monitor overall SEO progress
- Send monthly keyword ranking reports
- Monitor and report on your activities completed each day/week.
Qualifications should include:
- Positive attitude
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel & Word)
- Clear and effective written and verbal communication skills and ability to interact with all levels of end users and technical resources.
- Self-motivated with a enthusiasm for the Web industry and technologies
- Excellent organizational and time management skills and the ability to multi-task.
- Detail-oriented, highly-motivated self-starter, with ability to work independently Search Engine Optimization a PLUS
- Knowledge of Wordpress a PLUS
- Knowledge of link building a PLUS
- Familiarity with web analytics tools and concepts a PLUS
- Basic Knowledge of PPC advertisers including Google AdWords, Yahoo Sponsored Search, and MSN adCenter a PLUS
- Search Engine Optimization Experience a PLUS
The perfect candidate will have a minimum of 6+ months SEO experience while being a cooperative team player with a can do attitude.
