You should also checkout Crazy Egg and Google Analytics click overlay maps. It’s amazing how much impact “little” things like a color, arrow, copy, image, etc., can have on overall site behavior.

I’d also always recommend to anyone out there to perform A/B or MVT tests to incrementally increase the performance of websites under your control.
