There are still plenty of vendors out there pushing spinning article syndication software and plenty buying it so I guess it must work to a degree in the short term, but I have never gone down that road as I have the impression that generally it seems to produce poorer quality ‘duplicate’ content. Yes it’s unique due to spinning but essentially it’s the same article which does not read as well as the original which creates a poorer experience on the web for all of us.

So thanks for the encouragement that I’m on the right track with fewer but higher quality links (e.g guest blogging) being a good long term strategy to follow.
