On Social Media Today, Brett Relander wrote an article on social media myths and misconceptions. He debunks five common ones including the belief that customers do not use social media, and that it will expose a business to too many negative comments.
John Lincoln shared a list of 80 analytics tools on Marketing Land. Lincoln provides information on forty-seven SEO analytics tools including well known ones such as Hubspot, SEMrush and AuthorityLabs, as well as lesser known ones such as Marketing Samurai, SEO Diver and SERPScan.
On Yoast, Michiel Heijmans posted about image optimization for SEO. Heijmans discusses finding the right image, preparing images for use in an article, how to add an image to an article and XML image sitemaps.
Barry Schwartz wrote about a recent statement from Google’s John Mueller made in a video hangout on Search Engine Roundtable in which he states it is possible to recover from a Penguin penalty without using the disavow file or removing backlinks.
