Another 48 Hours

I didn’t nail it EXACTLY, but last month I wrote a post about YouTube being on pace to hit 48 hours of video uploaded every minute. I thought it might happen in March, but definitely in 2011.

Today, in a blog post, YouTube announced that they have indeed hit the 48 hour mark, as well as 3 BILLION views a day (an equally ridiculous statistic). The post has a little infographic and some other fun facts. (more…)

Kanban to Increase Productivity and Creativity

At Vertical Measures, we’re always trying to do things better.  Whether it’s staying current on what Google is up to, training on methods and tools, or sharing knowledge at a lunch and learn – we’re constantly moving and improving.

As clients come to us more and more for content marketing, there has been an upswing in the amount of creative projects we are managing. This is awesome, but we want to make sure we’re careful to grow in healthy ways. This led to David Gould and I stepping back and re-assessing how we handle creative projects. (more…)

How Big is YouTube?

While researching some video marketing statistics, I stumbled upon some of YouTube’s amazing numbers.

Being a total geek, I started doing some (bad) math, and felt I had to share what these kind of numbers really mean.

Of course the ONLY option was to grab the flip and make a quick video :)

Here are YouTube’s March and November 2010 posts, and here’s the most recent usage of the 35 hour number.

All math was poorly conceived on my spreadsheet, so if any of the numbers are wrong, it’s probably Microsoft’s fault </joke>
